I realized when I ordered this kit that they were not actual feathers, which I was happy with. I received 2 of each color shown, I put them in and trimmed them to length and really like them. I am able to flat iron and curl them, every now and then they get a little knarled on the ends but the flat iron takes care of that. My iron gets to 410 degrees if I run it through quickly it works great. Leaves them soft and relaxed. You just have to put a little effort into caring for them so they look nice. I got these because I wanted an inexpensive alternate to actual feathers. Plus you can change the color when ever you like. I would say a success

They were NOT what I was expecting.. if you're looking for something that you can straighten and use like real hair, THese are NOT it!! Not happy....
